e at Minds Technologies are defined by the diversity of our minds. We strongly believe each person can take an active part of the common social and economic growth. It is the vast variety of views, different experiences and backgrounds that enable us to collaboratively solve problems we face as business organizations, as communities, and as a society.
That’s why – without a moment of second guessing – we took part in the “Caps for Future” initiative – a nationwide Bulgarian charity campaign that collects tons of plastic caps and then recycles them, ultimately collecting funds for infant incubators. The charity perceives the fact Bulgarian hospitals in smaller cities do not get enough funding to meet their medical equipment needs. This poses a huge challenge, since (according to “Caps for Future”) older apparatus significantly increases the risk of potential health damage in newborns.
Since its inception, “Caps for Future” has collected 260 tons of plastic caps, 120 of which were raised in the September 2019 campaign alone. The charity has gifted 12 infant incubators so far, with 7 more to go by the end of 2019. However, “Caps for Future” is far from an average one-trick pony. Not only does it provide a simple solution to an important problem, but it also promotes a culture of recycling, sustainability and collaboration in Bulgaria’s society.
We cannot be happier to have made our small contribution of 3.5 kilos of plastic bottle caps collected entirely on the premises of our Sofia office. We feel our modest action has created a tremendously positive impact, as we united with thousands of other people for the sole cause of helping babies grow stronger, happier and healthier. Social responsibility is a value our company truly believes in. We will continue to avidly support sustainable solutions that make our community develop and overgrow imposed challenges through collaboration, unity and diversity.
